  • I reached mile 4 by 32:04. I was pushing hard with my heart rate at around 172 bpm, but I didn't feel too winded. I decided to slow down a bit so as not to burn out too soon. There was a bit of a climb on 17th and Lincoln, this caused my hamstring some pain.


    I'm really starting to enjoy running. I like getting up in the morning and not having to worry about packing my bike or running through some long checklist before a race. Basically all I needed was some running shorts and shoes.
    What would you do differently?:

    I think I could have pushed it a little harder.

    Warm down:

    walked around a bit, then stretched some more.

    What limited your ability to perform faster:

    left hamstring

    Event comments:

    This race was great. There was a lot of support from the crowds and the volunteers. I will do this one again.
