Pre-race routine:

Ate 1/2 Powerbar & TLC granola bar!! I was too nervous to eat. I also had my parents take care of the kids!!! Left house @ 5am!! Race started @ 7am.
Event warmup:

Warm-up in Lake 20min. It was cool but Lake berryessa in May is colder!!!

Comments:

Swim went well. I was nervous d/t not training as much in the last month and getting sick the week before. I was singing a song in my head to get my pace. Someone did cut me off to talk with a guy which made me stop. Otherwise it was a good swim & I think faster than tri @ Rancho Seco.
What would you do differently?:

Go to swim Practice more.

I kept up with 2 girls up until turnaround! I really pushed myself to stay up with them. I really worked hard on this run. I was 3min faster than the run @ Rancho Seco!!
What would you do differently?:

Continue to focus on my Running. I have a lot a room to improve & I am starting to see that it can improve my swimming, too.

Walk around & Stretch & went back into to the Lake.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I had been sick & unable to train like I usually do.

Event comments:

It is expensive! Food was pretty good. There was a lot of people cheering me on. I still can't believe I can do this!

Course: There was a lot of rolling hills & turns (I suck at turns because I get so nervous I will slide & fall so I slow way down). I felt very slow & tight in the legs in the beginning. On the way back I was flying. Maybe some tail wind. Cops were directing traffic & this car went into the biking lane @ a turn on the way back. He stopped until I pass but a girl behind me almost collided with me. I speed up really fast and was glad not to crash.
