Comments: I was running under a 4:20 pace until mile 18 or 19 What would you do differently?: I don't think i took in enough electrolytes...even for a cool day. Legs were cramping at mile 20. I took to e-caps then-but I should have started taking them earlier. I also ran out of fuel. I only took 1/2 package of powergel blocks and 1 stinger gel, there were 2 gel stations on the course but I think 2 more gels would have helped me. So note to self--plan on carrying at least 4 gels (assuming there are 2 aid stations with them) Post race
Warm down: Felt hypothermic after. And, hip flexors tightened up badly. Had a tough time shuffling to my car. What limited your ability to perform faster: Going out too fast. Event comments: Food organization was poor... Volunteers(young girls, needed a little coaching) giving out the medals had to be hunted down to get one. (I heard this from more than one runner.)
