Run
Comments: Totally different experience for me. I was healthy this time, no SLE pain whatsoever, but undertrained. I decided to take it slow knowing I was undertrained, AND my inhaler was empty...but my legs felt great the entire time, not painful like they are when I have been training. What would you do differently?: Make sure I have a full inhaler with me. I'd have had more confidence to try to push myself...at least at the end when I knew I'd be okay. I was also overdressed. I had gloves on, headband, jacket...the sun came out and melted all the snow and it warmed up to over 50* before I finished. Post race
Warm down: Stretching. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training over the past month, empty inhaler, too many clothes. Event comments: Took 3 minutes off my last 10 mile run! I guess it helps to have a fast friend you know is waiting at the finish (she ran an 8:46 min/mile!) Last updated: 2008-09-15 12:00 AM

Geared up little hockey player for game, wished her luck, double checked plan for another parent to bring her down to Chatfield afterwards (my friends husband), picked up friend, Starbucks drive thru (Venti green tea latte, nonfat, 3 pumps sugar free vanilla syrup, 140*), porta potties.
Stretching, jogging to porta potty across street as near ones had long lines.
