Pre-race routine:

watched ufc fight with some friends the night before (bad idea) pizza beer 3 hours sleep. Earlier that day did a 95mile hill ride along with a 5 mile brick. Did race because all my friends were there doing it. More of a training day.
Event warmup:

none. At race start they switched it to wetsuit legal and everyone raced to put them on. I wanted to do the swim to prepare for IMKY so I didn't grab mine.

Dumba$$ me, did not place my socks out! I ruffled through my bag ended up finding the ones I wore to the race (way too thick)

Run felt pretty good I was happy to be below 8mm. Got in trouble for picking up the pace across the finish line as a guy that I had just passed with about 200yards to go tried to repass me. So I busted out in a sprint (dumb)this was supposed to be training not racing and it was not good for my stress fracture.

Watched everyone drink the beer and get drunk on 3 beers :-) lol

Event comments:

Fun race very well organized would like to do it again and try to compete. There are some VERY fast people at this race. A top placing here would be impressive.
