Comments:

I'm slow that's all there is to it. It did not look as long as in the past but if it was, I was 45 seconds faster then 2 yrs ago. This kind of swim is too short for me unless I have a long warmup which I did not.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, hopefully next year I'll be faster in general and will try to start faster. The last two years I've concentrated on distance more then speed.

This is off my watch, no mount line or timing mat. They had mats at then end of each leg but not in transitions so all times include transitions except the swim leg.
What would you do differently?:

I could not relax on the bike. A few days earlier I moved the saddle up and forward and it felt great on the trainer and putzing around the neighborhood testing it. I think the more aggressive set up made the frame more squirrely and that unerved me enough to keep my mind on the bike and not on racing. I should have kept up with one rider who dropped me because I slowed on the downhills and corners too much. WIth the hills, I might have been better on a road bike with clip ons because I certainly would have been more aggressive. I only took about a minute,if that, off my time 2 years ago. A month ago I took 4 min off my time in another tri so I don't know why I could not relax.
What would you do differently?:

I moved my seat back about half way as soon as I got home to see if that will help and then just allow time in the saddle before I get more aggressive. I liked the feel of the new position but I need more time getting used to it.
Parts of the route would be good training though, minus the wild dogs and high traffic areas.

Once again, off my watch. The problem with this race is there was no indication of where the 5k started. You left the racks but then ran to the end of the block, took a right hand turn, and 25m ahead was the finish line mat and the crowd. I hit the watch when I left the rack area but probably should have waited until after the R hand turn. If that's the case,it's a longgggg transition area.

Run time may have been more then 5k. Overall I felt good and strong and would love to have had mile markers on the route to pace myself and know how fast I really was running it. Faster then 2 years ago but I don't know about last year

Hate to call it stretching but I did some for my hamstrings and calves.

Event comments:

I need to spend more time on my tribike next year to get more comfortable. I'm actually surprised how comfortable I was on the bike at Greenville and how uncomfortable (mentally) I was today.
