Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 4:45, ate a PBJ and milk, hopped in the car and drove to the site.
Event warmup:

I forgot my packet in my car, so I had to run back from the transition area (1/3 mile) and back. Got in the water and did some quick sprints.

Comments:

Got off to a great start, got behind a strong swimmer and started drafting. Then, all of a sudden I had a severe "side stitch" pain. It hurt to breathe!!!! I slowed it down a bit and cruised to the shoreline.
What would you do differently?:

Not sure....maybe not start out as fast, but thats what a sprint is all about!!!

Scout the transition area and not pick the FARTHEST rack from the mount line!!!!

set a trap that amputates a lower leg if they kick my shit!!!!!
