Comments: I had a fantastic swim. I swam hard and never really got tired. Cause of the choppy water some waves ran into my mouth and choked twice, but that was the only downside. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 1
Comments: I'm having issues getting onto the bike right now. The shoes are pointing down. I need to learn the run and jump routine. What would you do differently?: Practice run and jump onto bike. Bike
Comments: Felt good until mile 14. My lower back started hurting and my stomach was a little upset. I wanted off the bike by mile 19 which was unusual. What would you do differently?: Get used to riding in the drops for longer periods. Take more electrolytes. Transition 2
Comments: No issues What would you do differently?: Need to take some sodium here. Run
Comments: I really feel I could of ran this a LOT faster. Managing cramps is horrible feeling. Once I figure out this nutrition thing I think the Olympic will be my race. What would you do differently?: MORE SODIUM Post race
Warm down: Legs were killing me. Downed some pickle juice sport which made everything feel better. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not enough electrolytes/sodium Event comments: Great race event. The packets were horrible. NO water bottle and a very cheap thin shirt. Early morning since Drive was so far. I ate two eggs, piece of toast, two turkey bacon and two slices of cantaloupe.
Not much here. Just stretched the arms for the swim.
