Swim
Comments: My time got jacked up here and for some reason didn't register, but my overall time minus bike, T2 and run left me with just over 7min for my swim and T1. The swim itself was fantastic. The water was nice and warm, and I was pleased that they were able to change the pool to 50m from 25yd. I don't remember giving a swim time when I registered, but it was obviously too slow. What would you do differently?: Give an accurate swim time so I don't have to pass a lot of people. Learn how to do a kickturn and save a few seconds at the walls. Transition 1
Comments: I wanted to get a good T1 time so I ran my ass off from the pool to the bike. I swam with my top on for the first time, because the last two races ran into trouble putting on skin tight shirt with wet torso. Also, put shoes on bike first so all I had to do was drop my goggles, put on my helmet and grab my bike. Went super smooth. What would you do differently?: Nothing. I think it went perfect! Bike
Comments: Road into the wind on the way out and with the wind on the way back. Felt great the whole time!!! Think I could have gone much faster though. Something was wrong with my rear wheel, I noticed on the ride to the race. It would not spin easily, like the bearings had some sort of resistance. Sucks, but I still did pretty good. What would you do differently?: Get my wheel looked at at the LBS, and stop doing my own maintenance. At least until I know what I am doing! BIke harder next time. Transition 2
Comments: Getting off the bike and to the rack was fine, as well as racking the bike, but I had left my shoes cinched up tight, so I lost some time undoing them before I could get them on. What would you do differently?: Undo my shoes. Run
Comments: Felt good, I probably could've pushed harder. What would you do differently?: Run harder Post race
Warm down: Walked around, drank water and ate delicious burgers. Event comments: Wonderful. Last updated: 2008-09-22 12:00 AM

Got up early, ate some oatmeal and drank coffee. Got all my junk together after spending an hour looking for my shorts.
Rode my bike to the event (only 2 miles). After setting up I swam 200m easy just to relax and get in tune with the water.
