Comments: Holy cow were those waves BIG! Got nervous when the race director started talking about rip tides. Toughest swim yet. Beaten by waves, kicked in the mouth and then a full mouth full of salt water. But my time was better than I thought it would be. What would you do differently?: Hit the freestyle stroke with a little more confidence in the chop. Transition 1
Comments: I need this to be much faster. It was a long run from the beach through a long t area and I was wiped out. Sand everywhere. What would you do differently?: Practice the full T Bike
Comments: Had a good ride, maybe too comfortable. If I'm going to get better I need to ride better. What would you do differently?: Push harder Transition 2
Comments: Again, a long run in the bike shoes didn't help but I need to turn these quicker. Just wasting time. What would you do differently?: Practice damn it Run
Comments: Felt great on the run. Could have gone a lot further. Which again means I didn't push myself hard enough. It was a new, longer distance so I was tentative. Not next time. What would you do differently?: Run harder. Push. Post race
Warm down: Breakfast with the family at my in-laws. Bagels with eggs AND bacon. YUMMY. What limited your ability to perform faster: Tentative about the distance. Didn't trust myself or my training. Event comments: Its a fun race especially with an ocean swim. Flat and fast. Water stations stunk since you had to pour your own water. Really?!? The weather was perfect. Very competitive field.
