Swim
Comments: This swim was just tough. Ignore the pace, we had a wicked current due to prtty windy conditions. I struggled the entire swim. Learned something here, just because you can get into your wetsuit does not mean it fits... Breathing felt very constricted, could never get in a rythem. Had goggles kicked off 3 times in first 100 yards and never felt good during this swim. Transition 1
Comments: Pretty good transition, still winded from the swim. Did a really nice job getting on bike and into shoes. Bike
Comments: Like the swim, I never felt great on the bike. Wind played havoc, but my lack of training showed. Took 5 miles to get my wind back from the swim. Played a little game of back and forth with a guy on a P2. 5thin AG is good for many, but very disappointing for me. Transition 2
Comments: This was a good T2 Run
Comments: 26+ min 5k... seriously. My Achilles actually started to hurt during the run, that was new. Watched 4 guys in AG pass me on the run or I would have gotten an award. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: All in all this was a disappointing race. I set a PR, but that was mostly (all) because of the current assisted swim. I still have not really gottenback in the swing after IMLP. I struggled this entire race. I love sprints, but did not have a great time. Gonna take 2 months off of running and let my body heal. Time to switch up the workout routine and go for more overall fitness, then jump bak into Swim-Bike-Run in January/February. I actually think I am a little burned out. Event comments: The race committee did a good job, I will continue to do this race. Last updated: 2008-09-25 12:00 AM
