Comments: I felt really good. My goal was 2:10:00 so I just wanted to start out really slow and start increasing my pace after mile 2. That worked fairly well because my hear rate stayed low and didn't ever seem to get too high. Overall I was very pleased with my first half marathon. I will do more in the future. What would you do differently?: I don't think I would do anything differently except catch the shuttle a little sooner. I made my corral just fine but I was a little nervous that I wouldn't because of the traffic. Post race
Warm down: We walked around for a few minutes and refueled at the finish line. We walked back to the hotel which was about 2 miles away. I didn't like it but it was actually good to have to do this. What limited your ability to perform faster: My longest training run was 10 miles so the extra 3 was new territory. I also didn't want to push too soon and blow up before the end. Event comments: I had a great time. I didn't know what to expect but I feel like the race was well organized. I think my run was good and was very pleased with my finish both in time and ability. I woke up early and drank a couple bottles of water. I ate a cliff bar and drank a gatorade. Other than that I didn't do to much.
