Run
Comments: Good run. I really could have pushed more, but chose not to. Great run, great way to get back running. I enjoyed myself and the chowder afterward was good. What would you do differently?: Not roll my ankle, not get sick. Possibly do a real warmup. Not sure if anyone this hurt or helped me. I ran well, ideally I wanted to go under 40min, but I took it 'easy.' Post race
Warm down: Walked to water area, grabbed some water, walked back to watcha friend finish. I then jogged to get some chowder and a massage. The massages were performed by students at a local massage school. Super weak, it was nice to get but I told her to go harder multiple times, but hey it was free and had no wait. Some some more chowder, skipped drinking and headed home. What limited your ability to perform faster: Cold, ibuprofen, ankle pain. Drove down, parked. Ran to the checkin got my chip, jogged back to my car to stay warm. When it as about 20min to race start I walked down and it had warmed up. Took a CARBBOOM! 15min before race start.
