This years time - 37.13

An improvement by 3.23

What would you do differently?:

A good result, I managed to stay on course fairly well.
Transition 1
  • 03m 46s
Comments:

Last years time - 3.09
This years time - 3.46

39 secs longer but I had to adjust my race belt, not a normal thing.

Overall position - 689th
Category position - 103rd
What would you do differently?:

I didn't have my gear until the morning so I really didn't have time to double check everything. My race belt was too loose and I had to adjust it in transition, so things took a little longer than I wanted.
Bike
  • 2h 43m 44s
  • 90.1 kms
  • 33.02 km/hr
Comments:

Last years time - 2.43.09
This years time - 2.43.44

35 secs slower but this was planned as I rode too hard last year. I felt good after the bike this year with consistent lap times.
What would you do differently?:

I cornered well and powered away comfortably and took the hills no problem.
Transition 2
  • 01m 21s
Comments:

Last years time - 3.05 (With a pee break)
This years time - 1.21 (Saved the pee for the run)

I had to switch my Garmin from bike to run but still a reasonable split.

Overall position - 180th
Category position - 25th
What would you do differently?:

I am not sure why it takes other people so long for this transition.

I need to do more run training over this winter.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Well my training log was titled 'My Bumpy Road to Busselton'.
Family and work commitments along with a loss of motivation has made this later part of the season harder than normal.

Event comments:

I love this place and will always come back no matter how little I have trained.
