Event warmup:

I did a little swimming in the Rappahannock to warm-up and get used to the water because it was pretty cold and I didn't have a wet suit. Plus my relay teammate was doing to bike, so I would have plenty of time to warmup for the run.

I would not have let the chip fall off and have to put it back on the strap.

The front of my calf was cramping up, partly because I came out of the gate too fast, and hadn't sufficiently warmed up, and was running rather flat footed on the left side. Overall not a bad run, I did a little walking trying to stretch out my leg and catch my breath, but only 4 minutes slower than my just 10K time so not bad.
What would you do differently?:

Stretch and warmup more, gradually increase speed, drink more electrolytes.

My teammate wanted to leave right afterwards so I did not get a chance to get my free lunch and the line for the lunch was really long. I couldn't find the massage tables but they are generally booked up and I couldn't find the results board either.
