Comments: started in middle of pack and couldn't get clear water until 3/4 to first buoy. I was breathing every stroke for first 3-400 meters, then settled down into nice rhythm. What would you do differently?: start race in front of pack on starting line. do some warm up swimming before hand to get used to dark water and temperature. Transition 1
Comments: transition was average and improved from last race. could use some improvement on getting socks and shoes on What would you do differently?: use baby powder on towel to dry feet. roll up socks to get on feet. Transition place: 331 Bike
Comments: chain fell off on the top of the hill on shifting back up on front gear; computer did not work after first 15 seconds so could not keep track of pace or speed. wore cut off shirt and tri shorts only; pretty chilly but helped transition What would you do differently?: readjust the computer and test before race. Transition 2
Comments: tried just to slip in shoes but ended up being too loose. had to retie anyway What would you do differently?: untie shoes before hand; Run
Comments: awful run. cramped up calves right from start; had to stop to stretch a few times; felt like i had to throw up for the whole race What would you do differently?: PUKE AND RALLY! Post race
Warm down: stretch and eat bannans What limited your ability to perform faster: ate too much; bad food the night before Event comments: very early morning start. we set up our transitions in the dark and it was cold; temperature was fine once the race started....but a little chilly. i would do it again. we had a great set up with John and Diane race bib: 585 came to race: Mom, Dad, Gram, Gramps, Katie, John, Diane Last updated: 2008-10-07 12:00 AM
