Pre-race routine:

PB on raisin bagel with 2% milk and coffee.
Event warmup:

Tried to stay warm. Was a chilly and windy day.

Comments:

Had a great race. Ran with friend who is awesome pacer until 10 mile mark, then picked it up.
What would you do differently?:

Training fell apart about three weeks before the race. Personal and family illnesses made training tough. Staying healthy always seems to be a big challenge!

I was surprised I felt as well as I did. I wonder if I could have paced at a faster rate earlier in the race. Original goal was sub 2:20...getting close!
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around a lot trying to stay warm. Changed clothes and kept moving. Heated seats on car ride home helped. Hot shower and iced knees. Great day!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Self-doubt!...and health.

Event comments:

Great race. Well marked. Lots of volunteers. Good swag. Only complaint was that I kept missing the mile markers. They were grey and not well placed.

Course: Had a few hills. Ran the major sites in Atlanta...Centennial Park, Turner Field, GA Dome, etc. Much the same route as the Weather Channel race on Thanksgiving. A few hills, but I loved them...all in the right spots!
