Pre-race routine:

Stomach upset, so skipped breakfast, little bit of coffee and a mild melon Heed bottle + Shot block.

Event warmup:

Walking, stretching.
Run
  • 2h 12m
  • 13.14 miles
  • 10m 03s  min/mile
Comments:

Felt great throughout (heart rate, breathing, etc.) My ankles feel quite sore (need to lose that final 10 lbs. before January's marathon). Did a series of 10-1 (run/walk) and this really helped to break things up; I will do this again for the mary. Feel sore and need a massage some yoga to help open hips up. Practice makes perfect!
What would you do differently?:

More Body Glide or moleskin on thighs - chafing!
Post race
Warm down:

Walking, water, oranges + a big breakfast at Duffy's.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of practice, ankles sore.

Event comments:

Beautiful course, well-organized, fun running near the beach. The out-and-back was a little tedious, but overall a gorgeous day!
