Comments: I was going to try and run 7:30 pace and I was doing that and feeling good. At Mile5 there was a short steep climb followed by a longer less steep downhill. I hit the 6 mile mark at 7:30 exactly and inadvertantly kept up the quicker pace, hitting Mile 7 at 7 flat. I was able to keep up the speed and run the last few all under 7:15, even the last mile with the long climb. I was beat at the end, but I was excited about the speedy second half of the race What would you do differently?: Go out a little quicker Post race
Warm down: walked straight back to the car to get to Morgan's soccer game What limited your ability to perform faster: nothing Event comments: Good organization for a smaller race. The course has been the same for several years. We actually got a sweatshirt instead of a tee which was a nice change of pace. The course is tough but fair, 3 aid stations, and lots of good post race warm food. I've done this or their half marathon the last few years and will keep doing them. ran 2 miles around the race site, tried to get warm, because it was COLD outside
