Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 5:00am. Had water,juice, pop tart, coffee and drove to El Paso.
Event warmup:

Jogged around parking lot and stretched out. It was very cold.

This is my best run and I am happy with the improvements that I've made.
What would you do differently?:

Drink more water. My mouth was getting real dry at the end.

Lots of door prizes at the end. (I won a CD) There were lots of cookies, muffins, fruit and drinks afterwards.

My GPS has the distance at 5.086 and my avg pace was 8'45". My splits were 8'40", 8'44",8'50", 9'01" and 8'33" (The last .086 miles was 7'43", but I don't know if I can count that)
Course: It was a paved flat course. Basically down and back then around the block. It was at the Sunland Racetrack and Casino where the race horses were kept. The smell of manure was strong at times.
