Comments: Was aiming for a 1:55, wanted to take it out right where I did and build on that. Wanted to push the hills (usually I get passed big-time) and wanted to finish w/o leaving anything out on the course. I did both of those, so mission accomplished! What would you do differently?: Not much -- everything came together like I wanted it to. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Walked to the refreshments, downed a bottle of fancy water and two chocolate milks. Walked around a bit then went back to watch for my friend to finish. What limited your ability to perform faster: Genetics. Event comments: Love doing this race (this was my 3rd, and my fastest by 10 minutes -- usually I don't train well and run it as an after-thought). This year I trained with some focus (but not obsessively) and was pleased with the outcome. Best weather I have ever experienced. Fun race! Last updated: 2008-11-12 12:00 AM

Up at 5:30am. Bowl of granola w/soy milk, cuppa coffee, out the door to pick up friend at 6:05am. Arrived and parked with plenty of time to hang out in the car, then a trip to the porta potties, then off to the race!
None -- took the first mile out on the slower side and built from there.
