Comments:

Rode 60 miles the day before as I am training for Ironman Coeur d'Alene. This was a training race for me and not an "A" Race. I had a lot of fun getting whipped by Pro Triathlete Haley Cooper.
What would you do differently?:

I need to work on my hill climbing technique.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

1 - did a 60-mile bicycle ride the day before
2 - need to work on my hill climbing technique (and do more hill climbing)
3 - got stuck behind the tail end of the 10 K race and lost a couple of minutes as there wasn't enough room on the single track to maneuver past many of the runners.

Event comments:

They stagger the race start times so that the 25 K, 10 K, and 5 K Runners all finish around the same time. It's hard to maneuver past slower runners ahead of you when you are on a single track trail. I lost a couple of minutes and missed finishing under 2 hours. No big deal. This was just a training race.

Course: Combination of single track trails and fire roads. Lots of steep hills with some natural objects such as streams, logs, shale, roots, and rocks to maneuver through. Trail racing at its best!
