Comments: Not a good start to my first Triathlon. Had a difficult time breathing. Could not get in a rhythm. Was swallowing water and felt that I was heavier like my suit was filled up with water. What would you do differently?: Practice in open swims more often. Transition 1
Comments: Felt very dizzy after swim. Took time to catch my breath and regain focus. What would you do differently?: Practice swimmming and removing wetsuit Bike
Comments: I need to practice on a bike more often then just spin class. I felt pretty good on the steep hills but on flats I was getting passed very easily. What would you do differently?: Practice more Transition 2

Warm down: Water and banana..Stretch What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of preparation for last 2 weeks and for actual elements. Event comments: The actual event was fantastic and I am planning on making this a annual event for my wife and I to get away for the weekend. We had a blast. The pre and post race activities could have been a little more athlete freindly. I think that with the event at a state park, on a beautiful weekend a week after Memorial Day, we should have gotten more then just dominos pizza. A couple of grills with some burgers and chickens would have kept a lot of people around to cheer more people on. Last updated: 2008-11-24 12:00 AM

Woke up early. Showered and had a protein shake. Packed car and planned to get to the park by 6:15am. Was stuck in traffic at the entrance to the park. They had to push back the start time because of the traffic.
Set up transition area nd strentched while talking to my wife. Put on wet suit and practice swim.
