Swim
Comments: NO SWIM Transition 1
Comments: Flying start even on cobblestones. For some reason, i got the stretchiest rubber bands EVER! I had to reach down and break them with my hands be cause i looked like a fat bike puppet! What would you do differently?: less stretchy rubber bands. Bike
What would you do differently?: hammer a little harder. Lose 15 lbs so that I'm not a big skin sail... Transition 2
Comments: Another great flying dismount. I had my feet on top of the shoes as i was hitting the cobblestone. I had to take a few minutes to drink extra due to one of my bottles flying out of the launcher. Run
Comments: Total failure of pre race plan. I was clicking off decent splits until i hit a heat wall. I felt a little dizzy and started to get a lot of QUIT in me. Had to walk several times and even drank gatorade which i never do. What would you do differently?: Adjust nutrition to accomodate shortened race. I dont think my body had enough time to receive the proper amounts of nutrients. Also, need to practice more bike/run bricks. Post race
Warm down: Cold towel, fighting dizziness, rice/beans and support from Desha. What limited your ability to perform faster: Too fat, too slow and too much quit! Event comments: RD made a hard, unpopular call but it was in the interest of the mass' safety. Last updated: 2008-12-06 12:00 AM

woke at 4am. Was at transition by 4:30am hoping to check in, do my stuff and then head back to bed for an 8:05am start time. NO SUCH LUCK! RD held announcement of no swim until about 600am. Went back to hotel, stretched and came back for my waiting in the frigid baybreeze.
kept trying to stretch and stay loose.
