Comments: as others have stated, this was a modified T1 because the swim was canceled. i wore my helmet into the transition and just had to throw my shoes and glasses on. i honestly didn't rush or worry about how fast or slow i was. Bike
Comments: you know, i admittedly have neglected my bike more than running or swimming. but i really need to invest in a Tri bike. i like my road bike and the clip-on aerobars are ok. but having tons of people smoke by me at about the same cadence and effort is discouraging. however, i felt great and kept a decent pace as i didn't want to cook myself and have nothing left for the run. Transition 2
Comments: i always come out of T2 slow because i take time to swallow a gel and stretch my calves for a couple seconds. overall a average T2 for me. Run
Comments: My running keeps on improving and i'm happy. I totally forgot until after the run that i had to stop and wait in line at a porta potty for a couple minutes around mile 3. had i not done that i would have had an even better run split. really started getting winded by mile 6. gotta work on running this month or Alcatraz will kick my a$$ Post race
Event comments: very disappointed and upset they canceled the swim. should have given us the option. had we been able to swim, it would have been an awesome event. since swim was canceled, it honestly was a waste of $$. $165 for entry fee and $170 for room. very disappointed :( Last updated: 2008-12-09 12:00 AM
