Comments: B-O-N-K ! ! ! 6:57 pace for first 6 mi (43:10) 7:22 pace for mi 6 to mi 13 (1:34:00) Ran too fast -- mi 14 was first into wind -- terrible! 9:14 pace for mi 13 to mi 20 -- right hamstring completely cramped @ mi 18 -- unknown spectator placed me on my back and massaged my right leg -- saved me! 8:49 pace from mi 20 to finish -- experienced some cramping, but re hydrated and finished. What would you do differently?: EXECUTE PLAN!!!! Run slower first half and drink early. Post race

Went to bed at 9:00p. Woke up at 4:30, ate granola took hot bath (for legs), drank 1/2 cup of coffee and left. Arrived at AA center at 6:00 am -- good move. Hal a peanut butter tortilla at 7:00 am - one hour before start.
ARRIVED EARLY -- NO STRESS -- Stretched and ran 1/2 mi.
