Run
Comments: Let me start by saying that when I started this tri thing, running by far, was my weakest event. I was going at 12min miles last Feb. I am absolutely amazed at my time yesterday. I honestly thought it would take a lot longer to get to the pace I am at. I can actually say that I could have gone faster, if it wasn't for the crowds of runners for the 1st half of the race. Not only did go under an hour, I blew away my 5k best by 2 mins. What would you do differently?: Wear less clothing. I had 4 layers on. I got pretty hot really fast. I would start up in the group. I was passing a lot of people for the 1st mile. Post race
Warm down: Grabbed some water and found Running4beer & Jonah, Redsoxchick and Friend of Harpoon. Didn't want to wait in looooonnngg line for beer and chowdah, so went to a bar down the street. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing Event comments: I think the fact that they increased the number of participant by 500% from last year played a big part. Hopefully they will learn and do better next year. Last updated: 2008-12-17 12:00 AM

Got up at 6 and when to go get bagel and coffee. I was on the waiting list so I left a bit early to get into Boston and find parking because that can always be a nightmare. Checked in at the waiting list table and didn't get registered until about 30 min before start. Was looking for fellow BTers but I could find any.
Waited in the line for the bathroom for 35min. 10 toilets for 1500 people is not a good ratio. Did a little stretching
