Swim
Comments: Horrible swim... got very bottle necked and had to just stand there several times at the end of the lanes. My time definitely reflects how messed up it was. I couldn't really even swim fast the last 150 meters or so, I just plugged along slowly with the pile. What would you do differently?: I couldn't do much considering the backup. Maybe just not swim all the way to the end, and just cut over while everyone sits there. Transition 1
Comments: Probably best T1 I've ever had. real quick for me. No glasses or socks in shoes. Just threw on helmet, shoes and shirt and took off. What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: Real strong bike. Kept a steady pace and climbed the hills well. Probably a PR AVS. Transition 2
Comments: another good transition. I guess the practice is paying off. It helped to sit down and put the shoes on instead of trying to do it standing up. Also did no socks again and went just fine. Run
Comments: I felt like my time was going to be slower than this. Right around the same time as the St. Patty's tri. I don't think I could have pushed it any more without blowing up my legs and walking. My RPE was at threshold. What would you do differently?: Maybe open up my stride a little sooner. I did this about 1 mile out and probably could have done it at 1.5. Of course, it's easier to say this now that after the race. Post race
Warm down: Nothing... just walked around and talked to a bunch of folks. What limited your ability to perform faster: Stupid pool swim Event comments: another DA race. Nothing really to complain about other than the pool situation. I would have probably jumped up a couple places easy had I been able to swim at my pace. Last updated: 2008-12-17 12:00 AM
