This was my very first triathlon. It was hard being in the back and catching up to so many swimmers. I was very slow to what I thought I could go. Hope to do much better next time!
What would you do differently?:

Do at least one open water swim before. Get some training on marking spots along the way.

I don't know how to bike at all! I do not wear clips. Tying my shoes were the most annoying thing. Still intimidated on a bike so very slow to get started!
What would you do differently?:

Buy a bike so I'm comfortable with it. Borrowing the bike was good, but didn't feel comfortable on it. Buy the laces where I don't have to tie up.

This was my first time biking. I suck! I had no idea when to change gears. the only thing that saved me was riding this course 3 times before - 2 times with my mountain bike and 1 time with the road bike I borrowed from a friend.
What would you do differently?:

Learn to ride! Long way to go!

I don't wear clips so the transition was pretty easy. This was my first drink of water though as I was too scared to take my hands off of the bike to drink. Had trouble racking my bike.
What would you do differently?:

Learn to ride while taking drinks of water...I was soooo thirsty!

Felt surprisingly good. Wanted to drink more water, but really had to use the ladies' room. Had to keep going - think that is why I ran as fast as I did. Loved the flatness of the track! Did not like the really good athletes walking back to cheer on others!
What would you do differently?:

Make sure to potty right before the race!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

First time doing the triathlon...I think there are so many ways to improve.

Event comments:

First race besides doing an indoor triathlon. So, I thought it was good. A bit intimidating for newbies...there were some tough looking/long term triathletes out there!
