Swim
Comments: Didn't do as well on the swim as I had hoped. Flip turns might provide an advantage, so I'll have to get with Lance to see what he recommends. What would you do differently?: Practice the turns, under the lane dividers, and see what works best. Transition 1
Comments: This stage ranked 1st in terms of stage strength out of all five stages. I was in the T1 Stage for 2% of the race. Passed 43 athletes in this stage. Passed 31 men in this stage. Passed 1 man in my age group. Placed 156 out of 362 men within this stage. What would you do differently?: This part went well for me. Bike
Comments: Didn't do as well as last year, but I did little training other than a couple weekend rides. What would you do differently?: Get OUT there and ride, work on trainer. Transition 2
Comments: I did not have my shoe straps open. This stage ranked 3rd in terms of strength out of all five stages. I was in T2 for 1.5% of th race. I placed 207th out of 362 men in this race, 4th out of 10 in my age group. What would you do differently?: Open shoe straps next time, cost me a couple seconds. Run
Comments: This is a comfortable run for me and I'm very pleased with the 8 minute pace. What would you do differently?: Do intervals, run more now that my PF is healed. Post race
Warm down: Walked and was able to get a leg massage, which really helped on my hamstrings. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not biking and running enough. I'm very disappointed with my swim time. I need to practice flipping under the lane "ropes". Event comments: Will do it again next year. Last updated: 2009-01-02 12:00 AM
