Swim
Comments: Nice to be in the water again after a winter of pool swimming. Sighting was really a limiting factor. I took 6 minutes off my time from last year so the Masters swimming is really doing the trick!! Thanks Kyla and Beth!!! What would you do differently?: sight earlier, I was concentrating on my stroke and didn't sight enough!! Transition 1
Comments: took a minute off of last years tran. Felt really good, had a little trouble getting into cycling shoes.. overall a good tran What would you do differently?: practice practice practice Bike
Comments: Nice bike course, just 1 car to deal with. I had some trouble with a particular someone who wanted to ride in the passing (right on the yellow line) lane and WOULD not move over to be passed. She was not happy to be passed, but come on!! Ride on the right side of the road and let some folks by huh?? What would you do differently?: go a little harder, really happy with the bike portion. Transition 2
Comments: quick trans, practice more!! Run
Comments: I have been dealing with a Plantar Faciitis problem for about a month now. I stretch every night, cut my running to once a week, ice message a golf ball/tennis ball message, new shoes. It still hangs on. I ran pretty well considering. ANY IDEAS ON GETTING THIS MONSTER TO GO AWAY B$ TURTLE CRAWL?!!! What would you do differently?: Be health and train more. I pushed as hard as I could and had a really good run considering I didn't run 3 weeks prior to the race. Post race
Warm down: Stretched and met with friends enjoyed the first race of the season. What limited your ability to perform faster: Plantar issue. Set new PR so no complaints! Event comments: Ii was disappointed in the race this year( I thought last year was great.) If I were a novice I would have had no clue where to go what to do. Very few volunteers. I thought transition was crowded! very difficult to get through with the bike. Last year was no problem. I think they need to limit the race to 400. Post race was non existent no info on when times would be posted no announcer, I saw 1 volunteer in the 1/2 hour I was there waiting for the times to be posted. Last updated: 2009-01-03 12:00 AM

Rode out about a mile and turned around at the church. Swam a bit. We were really excited as this was our neighbors first race!
