Swim
Comments: Getting in the water felt great. It was much warmer than the rain that was pounding us. On the way out on the course the water was only about 5 ft deep so i could stand up if i needed, but i didnt need to surprisingly! What would you do differently?: train more on the swim. i did ok, but i felt very underprepared the way my form was. Transition 1
Comments: first time with a suit stripper- i like it! i didnt want to hurry up too much. bike shoes were full of water. What would you do differently?: nothing Bike
Comments: felt great coming in from the first loop, then a couple miles into the second i started to feel like crap. eat eat eat!!! then felt fine! Transition 2
Comments: really took my time here. drank a lot of ensure, ate some gu, drank. called my girlfriend to see where she was on the run course. What would you do differently?: have some food that wasnt sweet, a sandwich or something. Run
Comments: just wanted to get done. ate a ton of gu's to pump me full of caffine and energy. What would you do differently?: nothing Post race
Warm down: walked around drank water, soaked it all in! What limited your ability to perform faster: lack of training Event comments: Volunteers were excellent!!! Everyone I said "I appreciate it" to said "we appreciate you more". They were so helpful! The only bad thing about the weekend was the check in process. It was a little disorgaznized and wound up taking a very long time. Last updated: 2009-01-08 12:00 AM

friday i ate a huge breakfast and lunch and drank a few ensures in between eating to throw in some extra calories. Big bowl of pho for dinner then early to bed. woke up in a weird cold sweat, and thinking it was morning, i got up to get ready...it was only 10:30 pm.
Coffee! ate some breakfast and drove to the site. I got set up and then it started to rain, so I got in my wetsuit asap to stay warm. did some pushups and stretching to get loose.
