Comments: I'm in the middle of a HM training plan and Sunday is usually my LSD day, but I want to run at least one of these Winter Series Races pretty fast so I changed my schedule a little. Did my LSD earlier in the week and moved my "speed" workout for the week which was supposed to be 8 miles with some 1 mile fast intervals to today. Figured I would warm up a couple of miles, try to run a fast 5K, and then cool down to make a total of 8 miles. I would like to break 24 minutes for a 5K someday, but today wasn't the day. Even though I am currently running more than I have in the past, my training volume really isn't enough to make big improvements. I ran well and pushed myself pretty hard so I am happy with this race. What would you do differently?: Train more. ![]() Post race

Race didn't start until 11 and it's 10 minutes from home, so I just hung out and read the paper.
About a mile and a half of easy running.
