Run
Comments: fast start. my goal was 2nd overall and starting this run i was in about 7th or 8th. so i was a little nervous. after the 1st mile some others started to slow and i was able to speed up and get up to 3rd before transition. Transition 1
Comments: gained a spot in T1, but lost it just seconds into the bike. i did an awesome flying leap onto the bike with shoes on pedals. What would you do differently?: i need to practice getting feet into shoes a little more(at all). overall everything was very smooth. Bike
Comments: first lap was a B#@$#$, then i settled into a rythm for the last 2 and things were good. What would you do differently?: maybe a bottle of water on the bike just for a swig. Transition 2
Comments: shoes left on pedals and helmet went on all at the same time. made sure to set helmet on the right way for the next transition. What would you do differently?: perfect Run
Comments: took a "sip" of water right out of trans. it proved to be a bad idea. knotted up the stomach for the first mile or so. What would you do differently?: no drink INTO the run Transition 3
Comments: shoes on pedals, flying leap, good run out, helmet setup was perfect. What would you do differently?: work on shoe entry again. Bike
What would you do differently?: same as first bike leg, have a swig or two of water duing the second lap of the bike. Transition 4
Comments: should have paid closer attention to where my running shoes landed when i kicked them off. one was on one side of the rack the other on the other side. What would you do differently?: see above Run
Comments: cramp in left calf just after starting, a really quick stop and stretch (5secs tops) and a HTFU and i was one my way. What would you do differently?: somehow find another gear and run faster. i had some left in the tank and found i was day dreaming a little towards the middle of that run. FOCUS!! Post race
Warm down: hung out and ran back to the truck to get some dry/warm clothes on. What limited your ability to perform faster: speed work. i haven't been doing any speed work. Event comments: awesome race and it's great to throw your body for a loop everyonce in a while. i guess this one sends you on 6 loops. Last updated: 2009-01-12 12:00 AM

Before the race I talked with friends and watched some exspensive racecars go ZOOMMMM.
Did one loop of the bike course at an easy pace just to ride on the track.
