Pre-race routine:

camped at the moose camp. i love this race, the landscape everything about it. it kind of feels like being back at summer camp especially during the carbo loading. this time kevin and mo did the race too.

some challenging hills. problems with the bike as the front sprockets wouldn't shift from high to low gear. fell because i tried to kick the shifter when going up a hill, but didn't get hurt. got to shift with my hand and avoided shifting into high gear for the rest of the race.
What would you do differently?:

get my bike cleaned and adjusted.

the weather was great which made the run much more comfortable. after the turning point i shifted into high gear and ran a lot faster.

standing in the cold water, stretching, accelerade, water melon, burger, coke etc.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

didn't push myself on purpose due to injuries and the upcoming HIM.

i love this race. want to do it every year.
