Swim
Comments: I started out too fast with a 1:43/100. I tried to relax and settle into a pace, but my arms were too heavy at 7 min. I hung on for my best indoor tri swim yet. What would you do differently?: My goal was 500 yds, i would try and pace myself better the first 100-200yd Transition 1
Comments: Changed from jammer shorts into DRY tri shorts. No chafing this time. What would you do differently?: nothing - maybe a hammer gel Bike
Comments: I used headphones and had some jamming tunes. The time went by quickly and i gave 110% effort. What would you do differently?: i might add some more resistance on the bike to get addtional distance. I was able to spin freeely whole time. This event is won or lost on bike. I'm going to work hard this month and for the next one have a goal of 12+ miles. Transition 2
Comments: stretched and changed shoes to start the run. I didn't have a great t'mill, kinda clunky. What would you do differently?: pick treadmill prior to start of race. Run
Comments: I wore headphones and should've had faster mix. First 10 minutes were great, thought i could run 6:00pace or faster, at 11, i fell apart and slowed way down (8.4mph), recovered and last 2 min, regained composure and picked up pace, finsihing with a fast kick What would you do differently?: Nothing on race day. I should train to run faster workouts. I was okay, but when i bonked , it was jsut going through a bad patch. Endurolytes and more fluids between bike/run. Maybe a touch of caffiene Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: My cycling was the limiter. I improved alot from the Thanksgiving Time tri under same conditions. I got month to go until the next one and i feel like i will be smarter and in better sahpe Event comments: Its a fun tri. You can make it as competetive as you want to. Aimee had 3 friends who had never done anything like this before and they did ok. I tried hard, maybe too hard at the wrong times. I feel like i could've had faster run and longer swim.
