Swim
Comments: Nice smooth swim. Did 24 laps last year, and 23.5 this year. My target was 24 laps. What would you do differently?: I missed the month of February in the pool due to surgery, and it hurt my swim a little Transition 1
Comments: Took too much time getting changed, and had one minute to get on the last bike. I did not have time to adjust the seat, and four minutes in, had to have the staff adjust it for me. What would you do differently?: Hustle a bit to set up the bike before the computer was reset Bike
Comments: I did 15.3 mimles last year, but since the bikes were pre-configured, who really nows. My legs were rubbery on the ride, especially getting off the bike. What would you do differently?: Missing the month of February really hurt. Train more. Transition 2
Comments: Did not have shoes to clip into stationary bike, so I wore my running shoes, which did not fit very well into the cage. Run
Comments: My initial target was to run the entire 20 at 7miles per hour. Started runing the first three minutes at that pace, but could not get my ipod to work, and had to slow to 6mph. Gave up on the ipod, and worked through the rubbery legs until the 16 minute mark when I was able to push through the legs, and focus on breathing. What would you do differently?: I died again on the run. I need to re-evaluate my training plan. I did 2.17 last year, and my target was 2.35(7mph) Post race
Warm down: walked around playing with the ipod What limited your ability to perform faster: Did not have any air on the run. Event comments: As with last year, plenty of staff on hand cheering the competitors along. They did not give awards for best times like last year(KLM), but everything else was top notch.
