Ate oatmeal for breakfast w/ coffee and apple juice.
The night before we drove the course.

Comments:

I had my hopes set on a PR, but that wasn't the case here. The wind was very strong at the turn around(mile 8) Compared to the Austin 1/2 Marathon this was much more difficult.
What would you do differently?:

Practice running head on to the wind.

Warm down:

Stretch and walk around.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Wind blowing against me last 5 miles.

Event comments:

Lots of food and refreshments afterward. Including Michelob Light(they were one of the sponsors.

Splits were 8'06", 9'50", 9'28", 9'40", 9'13", 8'13", 9'16", 9'15", 10'27", 10'15", 9'59", 10'50", 10'42", 9'38" (This is all according to my GPS)
Course: First mile seemed flat and miles 2-4 were hilly. Then it was downhill for a couple miles and then relatively flat. Then when we hit the turn around at mile 8 the rest of it was head on into the wind. (Talk about resistance)
