Run
Comments: It was fine. I took about a mile or so to warm up with some run/walk, then settled in and ran except through the aid stations. I had to pee about mile 8, and started to run out of gas at mile 10 or so, so I did timed run/walks after that. I couldn't really drink much of my accelerade, but didn't really feel hungry, either. It's much better to run without the migraine. What would you do differently?: I'm thinking I have enough fitness to add the warmup to my pre-race at this distance so I can run from the start. I did have some pacing issues in the beginning, so I need to get my excitement under control, too. On the other hand, I started passing people at 4-5 miles, too, so I'm not the worst one out there! Post race
Warm down: Walked, stretched, waited for my sister and cheered her on. What limited your ability to perform faster: Didn't warm up, not quite enough fitness for the distance. Event comments: The best part of this race, I think, is the music on the course. They didn't have as many as last year, but there were 4 or 5 of them. I just love hearing live music while I'm running! Last updated: 2009-02-09 12:00 AM

Got up, stopped at Starbuck's for a scone and a latte. Arrived at the race and got a primo parking space because we were very early (6:30 or so). Picked up swag, put on shoes, visited toilet, waited in the car until start time (it was cold!).
None. Isn't it long enough already?
