Swim
Comments: I swam over people and people swam over me, it was a little more rough then I remember, I had a hard time finding a good spot to swim in without all these other people around me. I had a really bad time sighting, every time I saw a buoy I thought it was almost over- and then there would be another buoy. What would you do differently?: I'm a slow swimmer and I like to have my space and I need to calm myself down and not think about dead bodies and sharks while swimming hahaha Transition 1
Comments: I don't have a time for T1, they added it on to my bike time, I don't know why. Bike
Comments: So I biked and then kept biking but I felt good. The hills were hard, I mean HARD but I kinda liked being alone for the most part. Don't get me wrong I LOVE volunteers but it was kinda nice to just bike. There were maybe 10 or so people who I biked 'with' Meaning they would pass me and I would pass them for the entire race. I really loved the waterbottle station. That orange gatorade was a life saver. What would you do differently?: My chain came off on a hill, which sucked, but otherwise my hill training was good I think. I think I did really well on the bike. Transition 2
Run
Comments: WOW- ok a 13 and a half minute mile is actually really really good for me. So I'm really excited about that. And I'm not exactly sure but I think this is my best running time for all my races and I'll double check that later. I really liked the running part. I was able to beat a guy, I ran almost the entire time, I walked the hills but otherwise I was really excited! What would you do differently?: More run training of course, more hill training I guess. Also I had a really bad foot cramp after the run, I don't think it was fluid-related but it hurt for about a week afterward and I walked with a noticeable limp and it was so painful that I was contemplating taking some old vicodin to deal with it. Post race
Warm down: Walked around, went to M's house and then got in a car and drove home. Event comments: Columbia was very good, I can check it off on my list of race's I've done and I would do it again. Last updated: 2009-02-10 12:00 AM

I got a massage on Friday, and I actually think that worked well, so I'm happy.
