Comments: Had some trouble getting into my shoes after I got started. Cost me some time so I'll practice this some more before my next one. What would you do differently?: Get my feet in my shoes faster. Bike
Comments: The wind was just a pain in the ass! It was always in front and cross every direction we rode...at least thats what it felt like. When I'm rested I plan to finish higher overall on my bike splits. What would you do differently?: Nothing. My legs are cooked from 4 weeks of training. I'm happy with my results. Transition 2
What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: I was not looking forward to this run. I was jogging at 8min/mile pace the whole way out to the t/a. I got to the turn around and walked thru the water station. Then I saw the line of people that I flew past on the bike and that motivated me to run. I ran the last half under 7min/miles and finished strong. What would you do differently?: Run faster the whole way. I will when my legs aren't trashed. Post race
Warm down: Walk to the van and change, eat some pasta and oreo cookies with some other finishers. What limited your ability to perform faster: Last day of a four week training block...I gave it everything I had...I'm happy with what I had left. Event comments: Good early season test. Woke up early and had some oatmeal and a banana. Headed to the race early for reg and a good spot for my bike. Had an hour before race start so I layed down in the van and relaxed. Slammed a redbull 10min prior to race start.
