Pre-race routine:

Ate a bowl of oatmeal, drove to the stadium to park, and took the subway up to the start. Stood around a bit waiting for the start and for the area we were in to start moving.

Comments:

I felt great for the first four miles or so and then I started to get a pain in my plantar fascia. For the next four miles, it hurt with every step and I couldn't figure out to stretch it out. So my pace slowed a little and I had a few briefs walk to try to loosen it up. Eventually around mile 8 it felt better.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing other than maybe find someone near me to pace off of for the race. We started at the back and I was picking people off but I had a hard time finding people who were able to push me. Regardless, I was able to maintain a comfortable pace

Event comments:

This race keeps getting bigger every year. There were too many people at the start and at the finish. The food area was a mess and they ran out of It is a great race and I'll still do it again.
