Swim
Comments: the start was the roughest I have had. It was great for training for IM. I had a girl try to pull my down on my feet and legs,I actually needed to stand to catch my breath but couldn't because she would not let go. I kicked, and somehow she left. I was able to fight for my space without my heartrate getting too high, and stayed positive through the swim. What would you do differently?: Not I repeat not try something new on race day! I thought it would be a good Idea at the moment to take my wet suit off at the beach and then run up, well it wasted too much time,I could not get off my ankles and I was shaking from adrenaline and it was a mess. Transition 1
Bike
Comments: raced according to HR and paced myself, wanted to try for IM distance. Worked out great gears were not working the best, hard changes and skipping What would you do differently?: drank too much, had to go potty 2 times Transition 2
Run
Comments: started the first mile or so with a side ache, took more endy and went away, no more problems the rest of run and I was so happy I had a feel good run on race day!! What would you do differently?: had to go potty 2 times, drank too much Post race

left house at 4:20 to pick up sis, Sandi and Travis. drove to Racine. parking was easy and then found our way to tranistion. We marked ourselves because the line was too long to have them do it. Set up transition adn then went to bathroom, while in there I hear transition is closing and I thought it would stay open until 6:55. So hurried back and got my stuff for the swim and headed down the beach with the fam.
swam in the lake and it felt great, I was ready to start.
