Comments: I completely freaked out for most of the swim. I just couldn't calm my breathing for the first half. I had never done a open water swim before so the whole bumping/kicking from everyone else didn't help anything. What would you do differently?: Open water train if I had the time (which I don't). Comments: Never done this before at speed, I did ok. I was trying to watch everyone else which was too distracting. What would you do differently?: Practice at speed at least once or twice prior Bike
Comments: Pick up some pace on the Bike at took a couple of my age-group. Fast pace feel good and I kept telling myself it'll be over quickly. What would you do differently?: Cornering skill training Transition 2
Comments: Bit slow getting the shoes off. What would you do differently?: Elastic shoe laces are on my next shopping list Run
Comments: I rocked the run. Pushed as hard as I could without loosing control of my breathing. Kept knocking down my age groupers until the finish! What would you do differently?: Nothing. Continue doing what I've been doing. Post race

Stayed in Caboolture for a 20min drive to the start. Work up early to not rush/stress. Breky 2 hr pre-start of yogurt, handful of oats, handful of milo, and 2 scoops of milo. Filling meal that gave plenty of energy for hours.
Light stretching and lots of freaking out! I had no idea how any of the race worked so I was trying to watch how everyone one else was preparing and setting up their transitions.
