While getting into my shoes, had to shift gears for immediate hill climb, chain fell off bike.
What would you do differently?:

Set gears higher than needed when hill is expecting on start of bike course.

Knees buckled on flying dismount, did not hit ground, but did lose balance. All the practice doing it was good, but need to do it after 1+ hours of riding.

Finishing medal awarded at other races, hot pizza, bottles of powerade were available as well.

Cold snacks were appreciated, just sub-par from 2 other races I had done.
