Run
Comments: Went out good and fast. Was looking for around 7'/mile. Ran side by side with Glen for most of the first mile. Legs felt a little fatigued, but not bad. Pulled ahead of Glen for the second mile, but still pace fell off greatly. Not real happy about that. Mile 3 Glen and I ran pretty much side by side. He tried to pull away a few times, but I managed to stay with him. He is stronger than me on the up hills. Last .1: Glen out kicked me at the end. What would you do differently?: I'm ahead of last year at this time, but not happy about the 45" difference between Mile 1 and miles 2 and 3. Good first race of season, but still work to do. Post race
Warm down: Water, stretching, talking, and cheering. What limited your ability to perform faster: Need to lose about 5 lbs, run some more, and stay motivated. Event comments: Good, fun race. Interesting, unique 3 loop course. Last updated: 2009-02-24 12:00 AM

Rode with Glenn, Nick, and Mike to race. Met Pat and James at race. It is cool having a bunch of teammates at a race.
Jogging with a few pickups. 1 Gel about 20 mins prior to race. Tried to figure out what I wanted to be displayed on my Garmin. Didn't want to see HR. Decided on Time, Current Pace, and Distance. Current Pace fluctuates too much to be very useful unless you are going straight. Next time I think I want Time, Distance, and maybe Average Pace either overall or for current mile.
