Comments:

Performed about as expected. I was hoping for a slightly quicker pace but I didn't swim as hard as I should have. I was able to pick up the pace the last 100y or so. I thought I was sighting ok but I found myself either too close to the buoy line or farther out than expected. There was some minor current but I don't think that would have done it. I almost lost my timing chip. Had to grab it off the leg before it fell and stuffed it in my suit.
What would you do differently?:

train more consistently. sight better, and go harder. I had way too much energy at the end. I was tired later in the day but I felt way too good afterwards.
Post race
Warm down:

Dancing the Y-M-C-A with Nicole.

Event comments:

very well organized and for a good cause. also geared towards folks with kids.
