Pre-race routine:

Had my 53x11coffee, oatmeal, sat around for awhile. Then realized I was still hungry so I had a half a sandwich with Nutella on it, about to walk out the door, still felt empty, so had another half a PB&J sandwich.
Event warmup:

Standing in line waiting for the bathroom. Line was moving super slow, some of the doors were marked 'locked' but I had seen anyone moved, I asked if people saw anyone go in, they thought they had, finally first guy in line knocked, 3 portapotties where empty. Line moved much quicker.

Then jogged around for awhile and shed some layers.

Comments:

Went out a bit too fast, passed the Hoyts, then settled in and pushed more and more the further I got into the race.

I got passed and passed a ton of people throughout the run.

Slower than I thought, turns out race was chip-timed, but it wasn't chip timed. It counted your chip as you finished but not as you started, so people that were seeded further back got hurt. Normally it doesn't matter.
What would you do differently?:

Check Garmin in the morning, I was up for 2.5hours before I left. I think I could have pushed a bit more after the initial hills.

Test out new shorts on a longer run. So I got new shorts. They are my first pair of 'short' shorts. My normal running shorts are just around/just past mid thigh. These are short. My legs don't really touch, or at least I never thought they did. Sometime around mile 5 my thighs starting burning, by mile 9 they were on fire. I do not think this really effected my race much, except that it added some serious pain. I thought I lubed up well, but didnt go down far enough.
Post race
Warm down:

Walk for 2min, get in line for the massage. AWESOME massage. Best post-race massage, it was long and my shoulder was really bothering me and the guy worked on it for a long time, I couldn't even raise my arm after the race.

Grabbed a bottle of water and ate a few half-oranges. There was a ton of food back at some place that wasn't the finish, but I had to go and pick up my daughter.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Garmin. Lack of splits after the 9th or 10th mile. Overall good race, possibly could have been faster with the Garmin, but not sure how much I would have been.

Event comments:

Honestly, they had everything setup perfect. Shops had post-race discounts, tons of free food I skipped out on. Only improvement would have been Gatorade or something similar at the water stations.

Performance: Good
So yesterday, plugged my Garmin in let it sit for a bit, and it said it was charged. Cool. Turn it on at the race 'low battery' this has happened to me 3 times now, shut off before the race even started. So I have no data. 0:21:40 @ mile 3 0:45:xx @ mile 7 1:08:xx @ mile 10 I was hoping to average 7:15-7:20 ended up at 7:34.
Course: Perfectly marked, first 3 miles were pretty hilly with two massive hills, then it was flat until about 11.8mile? where there was a massive almost mile long hill followed by a short decline and finished flat. Everything was shut down for this race, could not have asked for anything better.
