Comments: Went strong for the first 10 minutes or so, then slowed to a more reasonable pace as going strong was keeping me in the high 170s as far as heart rate. What would you do differently?: Walked less, I stopped a few times to get my heart rate down, had I managed my pace a bit better in the beginning I would have completed the run without having to stop. Post race
Warm down: I backtracked about a mile to meet my mother who was walking it with my kids in a stroller, and walked through the finish with her again. So my total distance should have been something like 6.2 miles. But whatever. What limited your ability to perform faster: Conditioning. Running more will solve this easily. Event comments: This is an awesome event, so many people, so much to do after you finish. If any of you reading this haven't done it before, do it! So much fun! Last updated: 2009-03-02 12:00 AM
