Swim
Comments: good easy swim. What would you do differently?: not much, good swim for me. Transition 1
Comments: slow, all over the place... Bike
Comments: Had a %#@*% flat at mile 16. no tube or air, had to beg for help. Nice people did eventually help and got back on after a truamatic 28 minutes. very frustrating and had a difficult time recovering mentally. While changing my tire, I strained my back, crappy! *%$*@ What would you do differently?: spare w air Transition 2
What would you do differently?: hurry up Run
Comments: Hot! After I lost my pace and my group, it was hard to stay steady on the run; lots of walking, probably more than I needed to. Drank plenty, plenty of ice, great volunteers. HR between 145 and would go to 162 then take walk break to get it back down. Post race
Warm down: stopped, ate some pretzels, drank G2. walked to the car and drove home. What limited your ability to perform faster: too old, fat, and out of shape Event comments: great race, great support Last updated: 2009-03-04 12:00 AM

Walked from parking area. Chatted with Gina, David and the girls prior to start. Suited up and maybe five minutes in the water prior to my wave starting
